Andrea & Markus

Markus and I met in a fun spontaneous way, we met at a pool party! I remember thinking it was going to be a typical pool party with friends, but who would’ve thought that pool party was the start of our Happily Ever After.

At the party, we both approached each other and started talking a lot. It turned out we had so much in common which was wonderful. We ended up talking the whole rest of the evening. Before I left that night, Markus had asked for my phone number and we shared our first kiss that night, it was very special.

The next day Markus texted me about how he wanted to see me again and how he wanted to go on our first official date, it was very sweet. A few days later, we went on our first date at The Ranch at Las Colinas. The date went perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it. I knew after that night that Markus was very special and I was so excited to see him again. We were both looking forward to seeing each other again.

After two weeks of going on dates and spending time together we shared our first “I love you’s” to each other. That day was on the 4th of July, that is when we decided our anniversary should always be the 4th of July. After months go by we decide to plan our first trip together, we decide to go to Cancun, Mexico. It was such a lovely trip that we would never forget. And that is why we chose Mexico for the wedding!

After the Mexico trip, Markus and I grew closer and closer to each other. We did more trips together, we went to a lot of trance EDM concerts together, we did a lot fun things. I eventually got to meet his parents from Finland which was so exciting, they came to visit Texas and it was special to meet them.

Markus also got to travel with me and my family to San Francisco where he finally got to meet my grandmother and my Aunt, that was also very special. My grandmother said she loved him for me, that made me happy.

After three years of being together, we made the next big step of becoming engaged on July 17th 2020! It was such a lovely surprise, Markus took me to a lovely restaurant called Bob's Steak & Chop House in Dallas. He surprised me at the very end of the dinner and got down on one knee. It was beautiful! We had it videotaped too so we can always remember that moment.

We have been supportive and loving for each other these last few years and have enjoyed every moment. Now we are ready to tie the knot and be each other’s forever happy ending.
